It's Summer! And with Summer comes a brand new theme for Summer Reading at the Clarkston Independence District Library! This summer our theme is "Build a Better World". We've spent the last few weeks traveling around to all of the elementary schools talking to our Clarkston youth, as well as having lots of them visit us here on a library field trip. We've told you all about the Summer Reading program, our awesome prize baskets and how you can earn chances to win one! One of those chances comes from right here on this blog! Find your age group, check out any of the reading lists and choose and read a book from one to earn a raffle ticket!
We're also building a special Summer Reading reading list, focusing on making our world a better place. So make sure you check out the lists under our Build a Better World tab!
Have a great summer, wear sunscreen and read, read, read!

P.S. - The art you will find in the headings of the Reader's Advisory pages for this summer was created by a blogger librarian for the free use of all public libraries! She's been doing this for several summers and her art is amazing. This year it comes with the amazing message, that libraries are for everyone. Please enjoy. Click here for art blog.
