Tracy Bedford
Head of Youth & Teen Services
Hi, I’m Tracy! I’ve been with CIDL since April 2013 but I’ve been working in libraries since 2001. I have my hand in a lot of buckets at this library and I love it! I do storytimes for lots of different age groups, outreach to local schools and preschools, I order all the super cute picture books for the library and I get to lead a great team of Youth Services Librarians and Interns (who you will meet below). They (and I!) all give 100% to make sure we provide great service to the kids and teens in the Clarkston/Independence community! My favorite things are reading (for real, I’m not just saying that because I work at a the library ;)), knitting and spending time with my family.

Jamie Klos
Youth Services Librarian
I am a former teacher who started working in the library in September of 2017. I will graduate from Wayne State University in December of 2018 with a Masters in Library and Information Science. Join me every Thursday at 10:30 AM for this lapsit storytime, where your 0-walking age baby will enjoy a story or two and lots of fun flannel boards, songs, rhymes, and bounces. We may even pull out the shakers, scarves, and toys!

Hi! My name is Tina and I have been working in libraries (big and small) since 2004. I have a dual bachelors in Elementary Education and History. I graduated from Wayne State University is 2011 with a Masters in Library and Information Sciences, specializing in Youth and Teen Services. Here at CIDL, I mainly do baby and toddler storytimes, as well as a monthly music and movement class. I also help patrons of all ages at the reference desk and encourage reading at any age! Aside from being a librarian, I am very passionate about: Marilyn Monroe, dachshunds, coffee cups, live theatre and 80s New Wave. My favorite color is pink. Stop by and say Hi!

You may see me at programs, toddler story time, or at the reference desk. I have my bachelors in history and expect to graduate from Wayne State University with my masters in library and information science in December 2017. I am life long reader who also enjoys learning about local history, traveling, and creating paper crafts. Come by and say hi!

Alexa Lalejini
Teen / Youth Services Librarian
Hi! I'm Alexa, a Youth and Teen Librarian here at CIDL. I'm a Michigan transplant who grew up in Ohio and went to Ohio State (shh don't tell anyone) and then went to Syracuse University for my Masters in Library and Information Science. As a new Michigander, I'm excited to be running Pajama Storytime because I see so many friendly faces and fun pajamas at night. My favorite book is Harry Potter and I'm a huge Star Wars fan too. Can't wait to see you soon!
