Hey there! It's been awhile, no? We've been busy doing some really fun things here in the youth services department, and now we are ready to share some of them with you! We are hoping to post about some of the great programs we have going! Some of them are monthly, like our Lego and Minecraft Clubs, and others happen randomly on a Saturday - usually around 2 pm! You can check out our events calendar to see when everything is going on for sure.
I'm Miss Tracy and I've been running the Lego Club around these parts for quite a few months now. Here's how it works:
If you love Lego, sign up online and come to our program! We provide you with a space to build, a ton of Lego and a super cute personalized name tag on which you can share a short message about what you've created. We build for about 45 minutes, then we all get together to share out loud with each other what we've built. Sometimes there's a theme, but mostly we just free build and use our imaginations! We always have questions for each other, and everyone is really happy to answer, even if sometimes, we have to whisper it to mom or dad, and then they share for us! (no pressure!) I thought I'd share some of the creations from January's Club right here!
Check back here every once in a while to see what we are doing next! In February, we are hosting our Valentine's Minute-to-Win-It Competition! Join us for a fun time! |
A word of thanks to our January Lego Club participants - David, Milana, Lucy, Dylon, Briannah, Patricio, Ines and Lucy's brother, who's name is escaping me!
